Our Story

Justin and I met during the summer of 1999. Yes, that picture over there is 10 years old! Marching band starts before the actual school year, i think it was late June. I was entering my freshman year as 3rd chair in the top band (of 4) in the trumpet section. Justin was a senior that year, and he also played trumpet. The band director's daughter also played trumpet, and had known Justin prior to then because of her older brother. Needless to say, I hung out with him alot. At that point, he had a red '98 Mustang GT. Little did I know, cars would become a big part of my life.

Justin graduated in the class of 2000, and i still had 3 years of highschool ahead of me. I got involved with theater arts and devoted all my time to that and band. Justin was busy dating girls that were seniors that year, and playing trumpet at the local college. We hung out whenever we could, and stayed in pretty good touch those 3 years. We could go weeks without talking tho, and pick up like no time had passed at all.

Fast forward to my senior graduation and past the losers we both dated, haha. Justin was in the police academy, and we actually began to "officially" date. Well, that lasted about 6 months or so. I thought he was a better friend than a boyfriend, and i thought he had a lot of growing up to do. Over the next 4 years, we would catch up when we could, date more losers, and learn a whole lot about life and responsibility. To be honest, i never thought he'd move out of his parents house. hahaha. We found ourselves trying to meet up and hang out, even tho his girlfriend at the time hated me (never met the girl). I guess she knew deep down how he really felt about me before he did. Eventually they split, and I was the first person he called. I didnt answer the phone. I called him back the next day. As soon as he told me what happened, we made plans to hang out. His heart was broken, and i was determined to make him happy again. When we were younger, if either of us had a bad day, we'd drive around in the mustang and play "Don't Worry Be Happy." So...we drove around and around and around.

We started dating again at the end of 2007. In April 2008 we went to Las Vegas with his parents and Aunt and Uncle. We had discussed getting married and never having to be without each other again. I guess we were supposed to look at rings when we got back. I was totallhy blind sighted by the proposal in Vegas. I knew he'd already told his parents he had planned to ask me, little did i know, they'd already been shopping for a ring. He proposed on April 5th, 2008.

We enjoy photography, music, movies, mustangs, and games. I think we buy at least 1 dvd a week, sometimes 3. We have a part-time photography business that I'm hoping to one day be able to do full time. I havent been pursuing it much tho since the wedding planning, and can't wait for it to be over so i can get involved again. Justin loves his xbox...and plays call of duty mostly. I on the other hand, usually sit on the computer and play little childish games that i can get for like $6. haha We have a huge passion for mustangs. I have a full bolt-on black 2000 Mustang GT, and he has a supercharged silver 2000 GT. There's also a classic project in the garage. and THATS how we got our wedding colors :) Anything else just wouldnt be us!
