The Bride

My dress came from David's Bridal. I dont have pics of me in it yet tho, since I've been going to the fittings alone. My final fitting will be soon, and i WILL take pics then ;) Hopefully with the veil and everything too. When i went to pick out my dress, I had a few ideas in mind, and a few favorites saved from the website. I knew i didnt want a princess ballgown, and i didnt want strapless, preferably a halter neck. Heck, i knew which one i wanted exactly out of my favorites list, and that's just the one i got. I'm pretty plain in my day to day life, so i knew i didnt want anything extravagant...Sometimes I wish I'd waited a little longer to buy it tho. Because I've seen some of the new styles and found some i really liked too. Oh well, i still love my original one. It doesnt fit me like the picture tho. The model's bewb are almost non-existent and mine are very much there. I had my seamstress sew in a small lacy fabric over the bottom so i wasn't showing so much cleavage.

Here's me in the dress the day before the final fitting. The dress is too big. Go me for losing 10 lbs? eh. At the first fitting we tightened the neck and added the strip of fabric over the bewbs. oh and we added the bustle then too. But i figure i should prolly have it taken in now. When i bought it, it fit like a glove. Now, i feel like it's just hanging on me. If the neck gets tightened any more, my bewbs arent going to be where they're supposed to be...and it's loose under the arms. so im going to have the taken in and tightened and it should fix my issue up top i think.

Here's the ones that didn't make it.

My Shoes

My shoes are silver with this little bit of decoration. They're not too tall, and not too short and perfect for my ceremony. I'm still looking for some pink ones tho for the reception! I got these at David's Bridal when i got my dress. I probably could've found something just as nice elsewhere, but why go more places than i had to? lol I really like them tho, and they go great with my dress.

Garter

I couldnt find what i wanted...so i mixed and match and ended up with this. i may wear both, toss the silver one, or just wear one and toss it and just keep one, i dont know yet! These came from theweddingoutlet.com

Bride Shirt

I didnt want to spend 30-50 dollars on a little tank top with bride written across it in crystals. I wanted something more personalized. So i went to my trusty cafepress.com and created this for myself! I've customized a few more for the houston knotties, and uploaded some basic designs there as well. IF you want to know more just page me on the houston board (MdniteMustang00)

Hair & Makeup

Makeup first. My trial run was successful in that i got to try airbrush and different eyeshadows and whatever. But, i didnt get good pics of it... i did decided tho, that im not doing airbrush. When i came home, justin thought i had WAY too much makeup on. and i did. So i bought some foundation primer from smashbox, and im going to use my estee lauder double wear foundation. My choices at the salon were airbrush or jane somebody, and i have the jane foundation at home actually. maybe ill do another trial for myself and see if i like that foundation or my estee lauder better. either way, im using liquid foundation. I will be having my eye makeup done tho. Mainly because well, i like the pictures you get from it. haha I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself, and ill probably end up helping my bridesmaids with theirs. My hair and makeup will be done at Altered Images in Friendswood, Texas. I had a trial run, and we messed with it a bit. I didnt realize my hair was so long until this trial. It will be half up/half down and curly. I've got a picture of the back. But the front...we ended the day with a part in the front, but i got home and didnt like it, so the front will be smooth with some pieces in the front down, and there will be some hair jewelry of sorts.

(first pic of the back of my hair, the rest from...google. I googled Angelina Jolie & Carrie Underwood. oh, and there's some other pics that i googled under wedding hairstyles and i dont remember where they came from. there's also a pic or two from Leslie Spurlock's work as well as from Toogood Studios)

Jewelry

I got my jewelry at David's Bridal, after I got my dress. I didn't really like any of the sets, so i mixed and matched cause i really didnt feel like going elsewhere. The pictures on the website suck, so here's some i took once i got them home, minus the ugly earrings that were in the set with the necklace.

I made the mistake of trying on a headpiece when i went to David's Bridal for the jewelry. *sigh* But it's like $150 and that's more than my veil! Ugh. I just can't bear to spend that much money on a freaking headband. But im going to show it to you anyway. I ended up buying a $20 one off the davids bridal website's online collection. I'll take pics when it arrives.

So here's the one i didnt want to spend $150 on.

And here's what i ended up getting. $20 from the david's bridal online collection. the shapement of the wannabe crystals will match my jewelry decently...

Bridesmaids

This dress was totally not my first choice. I originally wanted black, long, with a silver sash. Then i fell in love with a dress that was black, with silver, and it was shorter in the front, and cascaded down in the back. But...like me, all my girls are pretty well endowed, and there was just not enough fabric up top. So we ended up with this one, which is the same fabric as my dress, but in black.

Here's two we tried on like i wanted, but neither really worked on my girls. 2nd one being what i really wanted...

Flower Girls

The flower girls will be wearing your basic little formal white dress with a black sash.

The Guys

The tuxes are coming from Al's Formal Wear. Nothin fancy really. 2 button jacket, white shirt. Justin will be wearing a black vest with a silver tie, and the groomsmen will be wearing a black vest with a black tie. Our ring bearer will have black and black as well.
